Summer Means Your AC Performance Has To Step Up!

Now that we’ve got hotter temperatures on the way for summer, the worries about making sure you have enough anti-freeze in your car over. Now it's about the possibility of overheating! For people in the car, that means turning on the air conditioner, and for your radiator in the engine, it means having enough coolant.

If your anti-freeze levels in the car are good, make sure you’ve also had your coolant checked, and that there are no leaks in the radiator. Your air conditioner, however, runs on another type of fluid, and that’s called “refrigerant.” You want to make sure you have enough of this for when you turn your air conditioner during the summer.

Also, remember not to abuse the usage of your air conditioner! It’s perfectly fine to keep it running while driving during a hot day. However, try to resist the temptation to leave it running while you park and go shopping so that you don’t return to a hot car. Any car that keeps the AC on while the motor is off is draining power directly from the battery. Do this too often, and you may find that when you step into your cool car, you won’t be able to get it out of the parking lot due to a dead battery! Make sure your coolant and refrigerant are good to go and your vehicle is ready for the Summer weather with a checkup at your local Bruneel Point S!
