With Summer getting so close, everyone is getting ready for more travel time on the road.
Whether you’re just planning to drive around town more frequently, or you’re planning a major road trip, you’re going to put your car through its paces during this warmer season. Here are a couple crucial tips for getting your car ready for another summer on the road.
Check Your Radiator
This is very important as the temperatures go up. The last thing you want is for your car to overheat and cause you to pull off to the side of the road. Think about getting your radiator inspected to make sure it’s in good working order, and that there are no leaks. Also, make sure that you’ve got enough coolant to keep your radiator in good working order.
Maintain Your AC
Turn on your AC and check to make sure it’s still cooling your car down as much as you need it to. If you’ve got it going at full power and you barely notice a dip in the temperature have it checked out. You may also need to add refrigerant to keep things cool. Also, remember to minimize the time running the AC while the car is parked and not running. This can drain your car battery fast!
Check Your Tire Pressure
With the drastic change in temperature, you will want to make sure your tire pressure is maintained. Maintaining your tire pressure is the single most important thing you can do to promote tire durability and prolong tread life.
